Navigating The Waters of Santa Barbara Video

Santa Barbara is a unique place to live and work. We are fortunate to have the weather of the Mediterranean, the vistas of The French Riviera, the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles (no real difference between the 405 and the ’S’ curve, right?) and the local feel of a small town hamlet. As Santa Barbara’s premiere video production company, we’ve found it necessary to make our business as diverse as the community we are so fortunate to call home.

YTS Films was founded to provide cutting-edge, affordable video to those looking to capture weddings, special events and moments that they want to see stand the test of time. As a family business, we know how important these moments are to the fabric of our lives. In this age of Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, people often forget the value of a quality film, tragically settling for the shaky handheld moment captured on their miniature smart phone lenses. At YTS, we strive to create beautiful, personal wedding and event films and will go to the ends of the Earth to bring that reality to our client’s televisions screens…. Literally. YTS recently had the pleasure of traveling to the northernmost area of our country to create a custom wedding film for a California couple looking to explore Montana’s Big Sky Wilderness…

YTS is also proud to be the official team on the red carpet at The Santa Barbara International Film Festival. This past year, we had the great pleasure of interviewing iconic movies stars including Johnny Depp, Sylvester Stallone, Michael Keaton, Rachel McAdams, Rooney Mara & Brie Larsen, winner of this year’s Academy Award for Best Actress! Here’s a look at one of our exciting moments at SBIFF!

If that weren’t enough, our mission to create the most diverse portfolio of Southern California video also took us into the field of television. YTS produces 4 local television programs including the multi-award winning show The Inn Crowd. In the following episode, we ventured south to Long Beach, California to take a tour of the world famous Queen Mary and, with the assistance of our Chef Host Michael Hutchings (Michael’s Catering of Santa Barbara), we re-created some of the delicious dishes from the golden age of sea travel.

Last, but certainly not least, we are pleased to welcome the newest addition to the YTS family. Starting this year, YTS is offering wedding or event video packages which include use of our 1966 Lincoln Continental Convertible! This classic black on black luxury car is the perfect addition to any Southern California event! The couples who have already enjoyed a cruise down State Street after saying “I do” can’t stop talking about it!

Though our projects are diverse, at the heart of each one, we at YTS Films believe in creating fabulous work that will be treasured forever. We invite you to call our studio today at 805.964.7612 or visit our website at
